”My aims are to help guide my customers through the process of buying or restoring an E type, to give clear and honest advice and to provide expertly restored, mechanically-sound cars. I've been around classic cars and, in particular, Jaguar E types (or XKEs, if you prefer) all my life! My father was Treasurer and Registrar of the E Type Register, back in the early days. I remember travelling from Yorkshire to Kent in the back of a Commemorative E type with no rear seat! The whole family also went on the first Geneva E Type Celebration Tour in 1981 which marked the E type’s 20th anniversary); sadly, we had to take the XJ-C as we could not all fit in the Roadster!"more

About Jaguar E-type

Jaguar’s E type is one of the most iconic cars of the 20th century. Mechanically ahead of its time, it boasted advanced features such as fully-independent suspension and power-assisted disc brakes on all four wheels. The E type’s sleek good looks means it still regularly graces the silver screen and, in 2008, was ranked first in the Daily Telegraph’s list of the 100 most beautiful cars of all time.

The model was made in three distinct versions, generally referred to as Series 1, Series 2 and Series 3. A transitional model between Series 1 and Series 2 is known, unofficially, as the Series 1½. In addition, several very limited-edition variants were produced, notably the Low Drag Coupé and Lightweight E type.
