This genuine 26,000 mile car was one of the last 50 E types ever produced. As it is of considerable historic importance, our goal was to retain as much originality as possible. Therefore, we kept upgrades to a mimimum and focused on replacing a few key items where reliability is essential.
The car was repainted but we kept the factory finish on the engine frames, bulkhead, inside the car and boot area.
The hood was original and in good condition as was the entire interior of the car. These original features were thoroughly cleaned and retained.
Having surveyed its condition, we decided it was necessary to fully rebuild the engine and to rigorously clean all ancillaries. We fitted a new electronic ignition, which housed the original components - thus keeping the correct appearance. We also fitted an electronic fuel pump and new Otter switch.
